Getting started

Make your first request to the Billzova API in five minutes.

The Billzova API lets a restaurant's own website or app show the live menu, take orders and table bookings, and track them — straight into the restaurant's Billzova POS and reports. 0% commission.

  1. Create a key

In the restaurant's dashboard: Settings → Developers → Create key. Start with a test key (bz_test_sk_…). Copy it — it is shown only once.

  2. Keep it on your server

Put it in an environment variable such as BILLZOVA_KEY. Never put a secret key in a browser, app bundle or URL.

  3. Read the menu

Call GET /v1/menu and render the categories and items.

  4. Quote, then place

Price the cart with POST /v1/orders/quote, show that total, then POST /v1/orders with an Idempotency-Key.

  5. Go live

Swap to a live key (bz_live_sk_…). The restaurant switches online orders on in Settings → Online orders.

Your first request

Terminal
export BILLZOVA_KEY=bz_test_sk_…

curl https://api.billzova.com/v1/restaurant \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $BILLZOVA_KEY"

You get the restaurant's name, opening hours, whether it is open and taking orders right now, and its ordering and booking settings.
